Michael Cole was born April 30,1942 in Pierre, SD to Mike and Helen Cole. He graduated from Gettysburg High School, SDSU, and received his Masters Degree at George Washington University. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal church. Mike passed away at home on July,24, 2020.

Mike had a long career with the Federal government. After retiring he became a rancher. His love of the land and animals completed his life long dream.

Mike enjoyed seeing new places. He would take an alternate route whenever possible. He was an avid reader. He spent many hours on the golf course with friends and family. He seldom missed watching his favorite sport teams. Spending time with family was always his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Steve (Angela), daughter, Terri (Jim); grandsons, Chance, Connor and Cole; granddaughter, Madeline; sister, Carolyn; nephews, John, Jay and Derek; sister in laws, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

In honoring Mike's wishes, a private family service will be held later this year.
