Wilma Arlene Cozad was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Bonesteel, So. Dakota to John O. and Bessie (Walters) Mulford. She entered into rest May 11, 2008 at The West Holt Memorial Hospital in Atkinson, Nebraska, at the age of 90 years old.

Arlene grew up in Bonesteel, South Dakota and was united in marriage to Henry Clay Cozad August 27, 1942 in Butte, Nebraska. To this union 5 daughters and 2 sons were born. They lived in and around Bonesteel through all of their 36 years together. Arlene stayed in Bonesteel until March 2005 when she moved to The Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Atkinson, Nebraska.

Arlene loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She loved playing bingo and was hard to beat at a game of cards.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 great-grand-daughter and 1 son-in-law.

Arlene leaves to mourn her sons: Lyle Cozad of Atkinson, NE; Greg and Diane Cozad of Woodward, OK; her daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy (Connie) Kibby of Omaha NE; Mr. and Mrs. Randy (June) Anderson of Stinnett, TX; Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Karen) Dreesen of Sanger, TX; Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Jane) Ogden of ONeill, NE; and Mr. and Mrs. Bob (Peggy) Semmel of Woodward, OK; 20 grand- children and 23 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law. Arlene was a kind and loving woman and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal Church in Bonesteel. Burial will be in the Rosebud Cemetery, Bonesteel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
