Wilbert Leonard Cline was born December 4, 1912 at Naper, Nebraska to Perry and Verna (Thibault) Cline and he died August 20, 2006 at his home in Naper, Nebraska, in the presence of his immediate family, at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 16 days.
Wilbert was united in marriage to Elsie Kulm on March 16, 1937 and to this union seven children were born. Elsie and Wilbert had always resided in Naper, except for eight years when they lived in White River, South Dakota. Wilbert was well known for his farming and mechanical ability. He was lovingly known as Uncle Bill by his many friends and relatives.
Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Verna; an infant son, Keith; two sisters: Martha Weaver and Maude Kortmeyer; and four brothers: Harney, Cecil, Walter and Clarence.
Wilbert is survived by his six children: Janet Eggert of Naper, Nebraska; Wayne and wife Betty of Fort Collins, Colorado; Verna and husband Roger Campbell of Naper, Nebraska; Marvin and wife Judy of Naper, Nebraska; Orland and wife Carolyn of Anna, Illinois; and Gary and wife Jeanette of North Platte, Nebraska; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 10:30 AM at United Church of Christ in Naper. Burial will be in the Knollcrest Cemetery, Naper. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
