Victor Manuel Gonzalez, age 52, of Jamison NE was born to Ramon Gonzalez Medina and Maria de la Luz Martinez Hernandez in Mexico City, Mexico, on November 15th, 1972. He was the third oldest of six brothers and one sister. He attended middle school in Mexico City but quit early to work and later immigrated to California, USA in 1998 in search for a better life. Immediately after arriving in California, he found a job as a warehouse worker where he met the love of his life. His wife Gloria Gonzalez, who was a supervisor at the same company, and her son Jose Montes. They later married and were blessed with their daughter Heidi Berenice Gonzalez on November 13th, 2001.

Throughout the years he gained many treasured friends through his jobs. He was a hard-working man who prided himself in his work, and jobs. In his words "if you didn't do a good job doing something then don't even do it at all." He always enjoyed his work at Shepperd Feeding in Mills NE and always made sure to reflect his pride in his work.

He had many hobbies including playing the guitar for friends and family during reunions and playing the guitar with his friends in Mexico City to serenade their mothers every Mother's Day. He was a great son since he loved his mother a lot. He enjoyed eating good food and snacks. He enjoyed watching and catching up on soccer. He always enjoyed exercising and would ride his bicycle for hours in Mexico and California. He ran many marathons in Mexico and California.

Victor was a romantic, every summer he would stop on the road home from work and pick flowers for his wife, Gloria. He played many songs to her on his guitar and dedicated many more to her on Facebook. He always called her his "Brown eyed girl".

Victor was a family man. He dedicated his whole world and life to the well-being of his family. He enjoyed nothing more than getting the family together every night and having a good meal while talking about everyone's day. Family was everything to him and he made sure to let everyone know.

Victor was welcomed to heaven on January 17th, 2025, at Sanford USD Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

He was preceded in death by his father Ramon Gonzalez, and his younger brother Juan Gonzalez.

He will be missed by his wife Gloria Gonzalez, son Jose Montes, daughter Heidi Gonzalez, grandson Marco Gonzalez, Mother Maria de la Luz, Mother-in-law, brothers, sister, many brothers in law, sisters in law, many nephews, nieces and many lasting friendships.

Memorial services for Victor Gonzalez, age 52, of Jamison, NE will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burke, SD.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
