The family has asked that mask are to be worn at the funeral service.

Thomas Lee Richardson was born November 21, 1962 at Burke, South Dakota to Elmer and Ruby (Thiede) Richardson and he passed away February 7, 2021 at his home near Jamison, Nebraska at the age of 58 years.

At an early age, he was baptized and confirmed in the Jamison United Methodist Church.  He received his elementary education at Spotted Tail School and graduated from Burke High School with the class of 1981.

After high school, Tom attended SDSU and Auctioneering school.  Later he joined his father and brother in farming and ranching.  He enjoyed traveling and took several trips during his life.  He was always planning a dream vacation to Alaska.

Tom liked to attend farm sales, always looking for a bargain.  In recent years, when his health didn't allow him to attend in person, he spent many hours checking out auctions on the computer.  But anyone who was acquainted with Tom knew that his favorite activity was talking.  He was knowledgeable in a multitude of areas and could tell stories to anyone who would listen.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and many aunts and uncles.

Tom is survived by his siblings: Dorothy, Leslie, Barbara, Debra and Charles (Lisa); two nieces, two nephews, two aunts, and numerous cousins, friends and neighbors.

He will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, SD.  Burial will be in the Spotted Tail Cemetery, Jamison.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
