Stephanie Lynn Blue Bird was born August 10, 1975 at Sioux City, Iowa to Orlo and Pearl Blue Bird. She passed away April 18, 2010 at her residence in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 34 years.
Stephanie grew up at St. Charles, South Dakota and attended school at Bonesteel-Fairfax where she graduated. She then enlisted in the US Navy where she served for four years. She was united in marriage to Thomas Welch-Blue Bird in 2009.
Stephanie is survived by her mother, Pearl (Black Bull) Blue Bird of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters: Nicole (Jon) Maunu of Sioux Falls, SD; and Crystal Neighbors of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers: Dean Blue Bird of Niobrara, NE and Jonathan Blue Bird of Sioux Falls, SD; her nephews: Tyler, Johnny and Daniel; her nieces: Amber, Deanna and Clarynda; her godchild, Diamond and several aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents and by her father, Orlo. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Milks Camp Community Hall near Bonesteel. Burial will be in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery near St. Charles, SD. There will be a wake services that begins at 4:00 PM on Wednesday at the hall and continues until the time of the services.
