Stella Jane Roggow was born October 18, 1924 at Lucas, South Dakota to Erastus and Ethel (Swift) Sufficool and she died February 8, 2012 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, South Dakota at the age of 87 years.

Stella was united in marriage to Dan Roggow on October 4, 1941 at Winner, South Dakota. They lived north of Lucas, South Dakota until 1952, when they moved to Burke, South Dakota.

Stella was the last surviving member of the Erastus and Ethel (Swift) Sufficool family.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband Dan on May 10, 2010; her parents; her sisters: Marie, Thelma and Margaret; her brothers: Verdus and Frank; her son-in-law, James Lubbers and by her granddaughters: Melissa Qualkenbush and Janice Walters.

Stella is survived by her children: Lynda Lubbers of Gregory, SD; Donna Preslicka and husband Albert of Gregory, SD; Mavis Bender and husband Ernest of Reston, VA; Dale Roggow of Irmo, SC; Sharon Qualkenbush and husband Timothy of Valparaiso, IN and Kathy Snider and husband Gregory of Midland, MI; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church in Burke. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. There will be a visitation on Monday morning from 9 to 11 AM at the church.
