Rudolph S. Frasch was born January 9, 1924 at Fairfax, South Dakota to John and Mary (Herman) Frasch and he died November 18, 2011 at the Platte Care Center in Platte, South Dakota at the age of 87 years.

Rudolph was confirmed into the Trinity Lutheran Church on April 16, 1939. He graduated from High School on May 17, 1943. He was in the service from October 22, 1944 until May 8, 1946. He returned to Fairfax and married Lou Ann Guthmiller and to this union five children were born.

Rudolph spent the majority of his life farming at Fairfax. In 1985 he met his sweetheart, Dorothy Petrik, and they were together until his death. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of camping, fishing, baseball, playing cards and he loved spending time with his loved ones.

Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; his brothers: Theodore, Edwin, Alfred, Gotlieb and Reinhold; his sisters: Emma, Rose and Ester and by his grandson, Jeremy Machovsky.

Rudolph is survived by his five children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Mike (Barb), grandchildren Bridget, Bob, Corey and Shaelyn of Lennox, SD; Jeff (Lori), grandchildren Bridget, Riley and Jerod of Neligh, NE; Rod (Vicki), grandchildren Jason, Preston and Melissa of Norfolk, NE; daughters: Marla (and friend), grandchildren: Jeremy and Matthew of Hastings, NE; Rhonda (and friend), grandchildren: Melissa, Leslah and Travis of Norfolk, NE; a special friend, Dorothy Petrik of Platte, SD and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fairfax. There will be a prayer service on Monday at 7:00 PM at the church. Visitation will be one hour prior to both services at the church.
