Pete Edward Carr was born on October 22, 1946, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Robert and Elizabeth (Steib) Carr. He spent his life in Central Nebraska, Arizona, and South Dakota.

On August 1, 1966, Pete married Ruth Agnes Lange in Lexington, Nebraska. Together they built a loving family and shared 60 years of memories.

Pete was a devoted father to Charlotte, Troy (Nicole), Bill (Karen), Sheri, and Dana. He was a proud grandfather to Zachory (Georgianna) Chohon, Jessica Chohon (Nick Littlejohn), Natasha (Christian) Eckhart, Ryan (Lindsey) Carr, Aaron Carr, Lauren Carr, Kiegan Carr, Kaulen (Anne) Carr, Brendan Carr, Blake (Brittany) Carr, Shannon (Jake) Lewis, Natasha Sanders, Sara Sanders, Britt (Melinda) Carr, Tanja (Michael) Sears, John (Emily) Dingeman, Maizie, Maelynn, and Mira Dingeman, and was blessed with 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, John Dingeman.

Pete loved his family deeply and cherished every moment with them. He often joked about how quickly the family was growing and how hard it was to keep track of everyone. He enjoyed NASCAR, Nebraska football, and classic westerns. A talented woodworker, Pete took pride in building, creating, and bringing ideas to life with his hands.

Known for his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor, Pete had a special gift for making others laugh.
