Neva Margaret Tiny Johnson was born June 7, 1923 at Burke, South Dakota to Emil and Margaret (Bahm) Hedlund and she died July 15, 2005 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, South Dakota at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 8 days.

Tiny attended school at Lucas, South Dakota through the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Johnson on June 22, 1946 and to this union four children were born.

Tiny worked in Dallas, South Dakota as a cook for numerous years. She then worked in the Gregory Hospital as a cook for the next fourteen years. She lived in the Rosebud Apartments in Burke for the last eight years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Tiny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Ronnie; two sisters and one brother.

Tiny is survived by her children: Allen and wife Jean of Gregory, SD; Gene and friend Etta of Black Hawk, SD; and Roger and wife Linda of Burke, SD; her daughter-in-law, Annie Johnson of Burke, SD; her sister, Eva Tillie Creekmur of Burke, SD; her half-brother, Clarence and wife Jeanne Moerike of Ellensburg, WA; her half-brother, Don and wife Marge Moerike of Lucas, SD; her half-sister, Lou Jean and husband James Beranek of Hamill, SD; her half-brother, Lyle and wife Shirley Moerike of Gregory, SD; her half-sister Yvonne and husband Don Umberger of Burke, SD; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, SD. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
