Marleen Glee Tatum was born October 16, 1944 at Fairfax, South Dakota to William Edward and Vearnetta Helena (Cue) Trautman and she died April 17, 2019 at the Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, Nebraska at the age of 74 years.

Marleen was the fourth of ten children. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963 where she enjoyed being involved in the Glee and Pep Clubs. She had a few different jobs in her life, but the one she really enjoyed was when she worked as a Meter Maid in Sioux Falls.

Marleen loved cooking and baking, and she was very good at it. One of her joys was baking a batch of goodies and taking them to friends. Her doors were always open and she would help in any way she could. She was always happy to grab her fishing pole and take off for the lake for the day.

On September 5, 1995 she married Clarence Tatum, Jr, whom she adored and loved.

She leaves behind her four children: Edward Seiders of Billings, MT; Darla Seiders of Fairfax, SD; Dulcie Seiders of Brush Creek, TN; and Erin (Jenny) Seiders of Summerset, SD; 7 grandchildren: Leah Borszich, Kamisha and Natasha Jones; Joseph and Daniel Weatherford, Kobe Simmons and Gatlin Seiders; 4 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Maurice (Carolyn) Trautman of Pierre, SD; Connie (Ron) Benedict of Winner, SD; Dorothy (Bob) Boes of Bonesteel, SD; DeEtta DelVecchio of Mitchell, SD; Terry Trautman of Hermosa, SD; Dave (Wendy) Trautman of Pierre, SD; Bob (Lora) Trautman of Mitchell, SD; Darlene Johnson of Fairfax, SD; sister-in-law Ursula Trautman of Lensing, KS; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Duane Trautman, two great-grandsons in infancy, Vincent and Angel and her beloved husband, Clarence Tatum, Jr.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday , April 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the City Hall in Fairfax, SD.
