Obituary

Louise Marie Zink was born on the farm near Bonesteel, South Dakota to Chris T and Lydia (Kulm) Neumiller the youngest one of seven children on August 30, 1936. She passed away at Parkside Manor Nursing Home in Stuart, Nebraska at the age of 89. Louise lived with her family in the Bonesteel and Gross areas during her early years and later moved to a farm southwest of Naper. There she grew up until her high school years when she and her parents moved to Naper. She graduated from Naper High School in 1954.

On March 1, 1956 she was united in marriage to Wayne Zink and to this union three sons were born: Jeffery Ross, Glenn Todd, and Mark Evan. She and Wayne lived on a farm that at one time was the Basin Trading Post southeast of Naper. There they raised their three boys, along with milking cows, raising hogs and farming. She remained on the farm after Wayne’s death in 1997 and stayed until her health no longer allowed to her to live alone, at which time she moved to the Butte Nursing Home and later to the Stuart Care Center.

Louise was a member of the Naper Community Church and was active in the activities of the church and the community. She enjoyed her garden and flowers, and spent numerous hours canning garden vegetables for the family. Louise enjoyed community activities and playing softball at the annual 4th of July celebrations. She enjoyed the trips she took with Wayne and family, and the bus trips she took with friends both new and old. Most of all Louise loved her family and it was the grandchildren that helped her through some of the darkest days.

Surviving Louise are sons Jeffery (Dorinda) Zink of Naper NE, Glenn (Beverly) Zink of Naper NE, and Mark (Lauri) of Wayne NE. Also surviving Louise are seven grandchildren Gregg Zink, Staci Koenig, Traci Muirhead, Kelsey Schochenmaier, Erin Cantrell, Jennifer McCullough, and Garrett Zink, seventeen great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren. And one brother Paul (Shirley) Neumiller of Bonesteel, South Dakota.

Preceding her in death was husband Wayne, parents Chris and Lydia Neumiller, siblings Edna Nelson, Herman Neumiller, Lester Neumiller, Esther Fuhrer, Arthur Neumiller, and infant great granddaughters Allyson, Jude and Autumn.

Louise will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
