Lorin "Mac" McIntyre, Jr., age 77, died May 9, 2012 at his home in Burke, South Dakota.

Lorin Pierre "Mac" McIntyre was born May 5, 1935 in Gregory, South Dakota to Lorin and Vera (St. Pierre) McIntyre. On April 14, 1982 he married Linda and to this union they were blessed with the adoption of their son, Weston.

Mac was a graduate of Gregory High School with the class of 1953. After graduation he joined the Marines. During his military career he served in Korea, Japan and Vietnam. He served twenty years of active service and ten years as a reservist. He officially retired from the marines in 1983 as a Master Sargent.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon.

Mac is survived by his wife, Linda of Burke, SD; his son, Weston of Burke, SD; his brothers: Monte and wife Beth of West Salem, WI, Craig and wife Roxanne of Pierre, SD; and his sister, Marta of Jonesboro, GA. He also leaves behind his "adopted" family of Bill and Mavis Beckers of Burke, SD; Lisa Thieman of Colome, SD; Shannyn Schweigert of Burke, SD and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Lorin "Mac" McIntyre, age 77, of Burke, South Dakota will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:0 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke. Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery, Burke.
