Lori Ann Koenig was born Sunday, April 11, 1965 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lynch, Nebraska to Donald and Betty (Stoltenberg) Bentz.  She was the only daughter.  Lori had four brothers: Darrell, Allen, Chad and Kevin.  She was baptized June 2, 1965 at the United Church of Christ in Fairfax, South Dakota.

Lori went to school in Fairfax, where she graduated with the class of 1983.  On December 10, 1983 she was united in marriage to Randy Koenig and to this union one daughter, Charity Lynn, was born in May of 1984.

Lori loved spending time with her grandchildren, Bryce and Savanna.  She always had time for new and old board games, cooking new recipes, watching movies, and Sunday drives to the river.

Lori was a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for nearly 25 years in June.  She took pride in making sure her customers were taken care of.  On Saturday, January 11, 2025, while on her mail route, Lori was in a tragic car accident that took her life.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Donald Bentz, grandparents: Fred Jr and Lydia Bentz and Frank and Theresa Stoltenberg, and her in-laws Edwin and Philomena Koenig.  She leaves to mourn her mother, Betty Bentz; her husband Randy Koenig; her daughter Charity (Travis) Fischer; her grandchildren Bryce and Savanna Fischer; her brothers: Darrell (Joann), Allen (Vonda), Chad (Michele) and Kevin (Lynne) as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

She is missed and loved by all.
