Lois Marie Vosika was born on July 18, 1947 in Burke, South Dakota to Erwin and LaVerna (Leibel) Esterling.  She passed away on December 5, 2012 at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in South San Francisco, California.

Lois grew up in Burke and graduated from Burke High School in 1965.  On September 11, 1965 she was united in marriage to Cal Vosika of Winner, South Dakota.  To this union two sons, Bradley James and Brent Alan, were born.  They made their home in Yankton, South Dakota for a short time before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1967.  They lived in Denver until 1973 before moving on to live in San Francisco, California and currently residing in Pacifica, California.  Lois graduated from Hilltop Beauty School and was employed at Georgette's Beauty Salon for over 30 years.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Cal Vosika of Pacifica, CA; sons Brad (Kim) Vosika of Burke, SD and Brent (Monique) Vosika of South San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Jesse Vosika of Mitchell, SD,  Alina Vosika of South San Francisco, CA and Erika Clark-James of San Mateo, CA;  great -grandchildren, Davon, Darius and Eleya Clark-James. Her mother LaVerna  Esterling of Burke, SD; sisters Laura Kinniburgh of Green River, WY and Janet (Doug) Bauld of Burke, SD; brothers Gary (Nancy) Esterling of West Dundee, IL and Tom (Nancy) Esterling of Burke, SD; sister-in-law Linda Esterling Wake of Lincoln, NE and by many nieces and nephews.



Lois was preceded in death by her father Erwin in 1991 and her brother James in 1981. Lois truly loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burke. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
