Lawrence Reuben Neuharth was born July 18, 1931 south of Gregory, South Dakota Edward and Lydia (Klundt) Neuharth and he died March 3, 2026 at the Lake Andes Healthcare Center in Lake Andes, South Dakota at the age of 94 years.

Lawrence spent his entire life farming south of Gregory and Burke, South Dakota.

Lawrence was united in marriage to Della Gray on January 23, 1955 at the Grace Lutheran church in Burke, South Dakota. They worked their farm together for 42 years, retiring to Gregory in 1997. They raised their three sons and a daughter. Together they milked cows, raised chickens, and baby calves.

Lawrence is survived by his son Terry and wife Barb of Baltic, SD; David of Gregory, SD; and Wayne and wife Cindy of Barnet, VT; and daughter Diane Neuharth of Mesa, AZ. His granddaughters Angela and Lyle Wetz of Vale, SD; Nichole and Robert Schoelles of Ft. Huachuca, AZ; and Katie Neuharth of Barnet, VT; and a great granddaughter Alexis Schoelles of Ft. Hauchuca, AZ. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and their families.

Funeral services for Lawrence Neuharth, age 94, of Gregory, South Dakota will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Burke, South Dakota. Burial will be in the Herrick Cemetery, Herrick, SD. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
