James Raymond Primeaux, Jr. was born November 5, 1954 at Wagner, South Dakota to James Raymond Primeaux, Sr. and Josephine Susie Iron Hawk and he died April 20, 2024 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 69 years.

James grew up around the St. Charles and Bonesteel area.  He attended school here and there in the areas of St. Charles, Mission and Redfield.  He also was in a boys ranch in Rapid City, South Dakota.  After school he lived with his parents  to help care for his mother until she passed.  He continued to live with his father and his brother David.

James later met the love of his life Roberta Stone Arrow.  James and Roberta had two children of there own, Travis Stone Arrow and Jamie Primeaux.  Roberta had four other children that James helped raise as his own: LaCosta, Jason, Justin and Cassandra.  He loved each and every one of his children until he took his last breath.

James leaves behind to mourn his brother David Primeaux and Kim Schultz; sisters Linda Ridgeway and Sophia Trujillo; his children Travis Stone Arrow, Jason Stone Arrow, LaCosta (Avi) Ochoa, Justin Stone Arrow, Cassandra Stone Arrow and Jamie Primeaux, as well as all of his grandchildren, many family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life Roberta Stone Arrow; grandchild Cynthia Lynn Charging Hawk; his sister Esther and brother Cecil.

He will forever be missed by his siblings, children, grandchildren and many family and friends.

Funeral services for James Primeaux, Jr., age 69, of Bonesteel, SD will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bonesteel City Hall in Bonesteel, SD.  Burial will be in the Ponca Creek UCC Cemetery, St. Charles, SD.  There will be a wake service on Thursday at the City Hall in Bonesteel.
