James Allen Jim Davis was born December 1, 1952 at the Lynch Hospital in Lynch, Nebraska to John and Jenna (Kibby) Davis and he died April 14, 2006 at the Winner Regional Hospital in Winner, South Dakota at the age of 53 years, 4 months and 13 days.

Jim attended school and graduated from West Holt High School in Atkinson, Nebraska. He continued his education at the University of South Dakota at Springfield. He spent time on the families ranch near Naper, Nebraska. He later moved to Butte, Nebraska where he was employed for Schulte Implement for several years. He was then elected as County Treasurer for Boyd County.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Davis.

Jim is survived by his mother, Jenna Davis of Naper, Nebraska; his sisters: Charlotte of Naper, Nebraska and Sharon and husband Gary Fuhrman of Broken Bow, Nebraska; his brother, Chuck and wife Susan Davis of Naper, Nebraska; his nephew, Thad and wife Kim Davis and their family of Butte, Nebraska; his niece Kendra and husband Kelly Reiser and their family of Butte, Nebraska; and his niece, Lorra and husband Bryan Parliament and their family of Broken Bow, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 1:30 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, rural Naper, NE. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
