Jacque Juracek, age 59, died May 23, 2008 with her family by her side at Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, SD from aplastic anemia. Jacqueline Garnet Soesbe was born in Burke, SD on March 13, 1949 to Vernon and Eva Audiss Soesbe, the youngest of four children.
Jacque was raised on a farm North of Gregory, SD and attended Gregory Public Schools, graduating in 1967. She was baptized Lutheran in infancy and then as an adult into the Baptist faith.
Jacque married Darrel Juracek on November 30, 1968 and to this union 4 children were born. Jacque and Darrel spent their entire married life in Burke. Jacque worked in various jobs in the community while raising her family. Darrel died in April 1997. Jacque then made her home with Byron Kelso and they spent many years in Longmont, CO before moving home to Burke in 2002. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, and later could be found visiting with her family and friends, playing cards, camping at the river, spoiling the grandkids, and browsing garage sales.
Jacque is survived by Byron (Fifi and Duke) and her four children Wade (Amy) Juracek, Gregory, SD, Daniel (Anjie) Juracek, Killeen, TX, Tara (Eric Paige) Juracek, Sioux Falls, SD, and Wylie (Carrie) Juracek, Bellevue, NE. She was a proud and loving grandma to Christopher Leslie of Brookings, SD; Mason, Hannah, Evan, and Lincoln Juracek of Gregory, SD; Sean and Taylor Juracek of Killeen, TX; Olivia Juracek of Bellevue, NE; and Max. Also surviving are her sister Ginger (Jerry) Shutt, brother in law Larry (Karen) Juracek, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents Vernon and Eva, her brothers Dennis and Lowell Soesbe, and her niece Lisa Titus.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Union Baptist Church in Burke. Burial will in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. There will be a prayer service on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will be prior to both services.
