Gloria Ann (Beem) Vogt was born Feb. 13, 1939 to Clarence and Olinda (Fuhrer) Beem at her grandparent's home in Butte, NE., the oldest of 6 children. She attended the McCully School and 2 years at Butte High School. Her parents moved to a farm west of Naper and finished her high school years graduating from Naper High School in 1957.
Gloria met  Donald Vogt at a dance in Naper. They were married on Feb. 1, 1957, and lived, loved and laughed for 62 years. Five children were welcomed along the way, Ricky, Kelly, Randy, Peggy, and Jeffrey.  They raised their family on a ranch 7 miles west of Naper. In 1996, Don and Gloria retired and moved to Burke, SD. Gloria passed away on Sept. 21, 2019 after a bad fall and complications of pneumonia.
Besides being a ranch wife and mother, she enjoyed crocheting, oil painting, dancing, playing cards, country music festivals, traveling with friends around the country and Canada, and gambling trips, especially after they had retired and traveled regularly to Deadwood, SD. One of her greatest pride and joys was when she became a grandmother and later, a great-grandmother, always keeping track of what they were doing and enjoying spending time with them, ready with a big hug and kiss and "what have you been up to"?
Leaving behind to mourn her passing are her husband, Don, her children, Kelly (Lois) Vogt of Naper, NE., Randy (Bonnie) Vogt of Neligh, NE., Jeffrey (Sandra) Vogt of Lincoln, NE., Her grandchildren: Lisa Vogt, Pamela (Doug) Tillman, Blair (Jim) Kluckman, April (Dustin) Dummer, Krista Vogt, Kaleb Vogt, her great grandchildren: Josie Ketelhut , Malcolm Ketelhut, Noah Tillman, Nathan Tillman, Zander Kluckman, ReNae Kluckman, Archer Dummer, Piper Dummer, Hunter Covell, and Emily Covell: siblings Orlon (Carol) Beem, Deanna (Richard) Krehbiel, Norman (Deborah) Beem, Kathy (Joe) Herold, and a host of nieces, nephews, and family and friends
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Linda Beem; mother and father-in law, Claus and Daisy Vogt, children, Ricky and Peggy, sister Betty (Beem) Smith, and brother, William (Bill) Beem.
