Geraldine Bartling (Geri) age 70, of Burke South Dakota passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Avera Gregory Hospital after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Geri was wife to Gary Bartling, and beloved mother to Gary, Amanda, and Daniel Bartling.  Geri is preceded in death by her Father Robert Bohannon, and younger brother Robert Bohannon Jr.

Geri was born to Robert and Bessie Bohannon on January 5, 1947 in Springfield Illinois.  She was a passionate and devoted mother and grandmother.  Geri's pride and joy in her final years were her seven grandchildren; she loved to dye Easter Eggs with them even when it wasn't Easter.

Mom you have taught us how to live life fully, passionately and bravely, just like you lived yours, you are so dearly missed.  Now the purest and most beautiful angel is simply you.
