Gary was born July 26, 1947 in Burke, South Dakota to Emil and Albina (Stroh) Forsch. He died September 12, 2008 at the age of 61. Gary was raised on his grandfather's homestead until the age of 17; at which time he left to pursue a truck driving career. After meeting Jean Remter and marrying in July 1976 they were blessed with a little boy in 1977; Daimon. Gary returned again to the farm to help his brother Bing with the farming. In 1980 Gary and Jean were blessed again with a baby girl; Siann. In the several years to follow Gary drove semi-truck for several different outfits moving a few times to here and there, settling again in Spencer, Nebraska. After years of driving from coast to coast Gary found a home working for Prouty Construction in O'Neill, Nebraska; keeping him close to home and his family. Gary is survived by his wife Jean and son Daimon both of Spencer, Nebraska; daughter Siann Woita of Milford, Nebraska. He is also survived by his two brothers LuVerne 'Bing', of Burke, SD; Von of Billings, MT and nine sisters Verna Aeschbacher of Winner, SD; Lorraine Forsch of Burke, SD; Marlene Percy of Sioux Falls, SD; Bonnie Zellmer of Lincoln, NE; Shirley Berg of Burke, SD; Marjorie Schroeder of Fon Du Lac, WI; Jannette Gessner of Morris, MN; Joyce Knutson of Morris, MN; Marlys Cardelli of Columbia Falls, MT; one Aunt Martha Berg of Saint Cloud, MN and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Karen Kay. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the families of Dave Peterson, Travis Lunn and Brad Kelly.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Civic Center in Burke. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke.
