Gary Eugene Delzer was born March 10, 1955 at Gregory, South Dakota to Fred Arnold and Doris (Krallman) Delzer and died at this home May, 2, 2019 in Norfolk, Nebraska at the age of 64 years.

While in high school, Gary worked for Dean and Ruth Stedman at the Rosebud Photo Shop in Gregory. It was there that he found his love for photography. After graduating from Gregory High School he attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. After college he started laying carpet at Sherman Furniture in Gregory, Schramm Furniture in Valentine, Nebraska and later for Karpet Shop in Norfolk, Nebraska. He was still currently employed there at the time of his death.

Gary loved being outside in his vegetable and flower gardens. He provided many with his over abundance of vegetables. He also loved animals, especially cats and dogs.

Gary is survived by his brother, Vern (Bobbi) Delzer of Phillipsburg, KS; his sisters: Carol (Roger) Soper of Bartlesville, OK and Sandra (Michael) Whitley of Herrick, SD; four nephews: David Soper, Joshua (Tiffany) Soper, Andrew Whitley and Christopher Delzer; his two nieces: Sarah Smith and Jessie (Mike) Fenn and one great niece, Madison Soper.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shirley Delzer and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Graveside services for Gary Delzer, age 64 , of Norfolk, NE and formerly of Gregory, SD will be held on Saturday , May 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the IOOF Cemetery in Gregory, SD.
