Eva June 'Tillie' Creekmur was born June 7, 1923 at Burke, South Dakota to Emil and Margaret (Bahm) Hedlund and she died December 3, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, South Dakota at the age of 85 years.

Eva attended grade school at Lucas, South Dakota through the eighth grade.  She was united in marriage to Henry Gentele on March 3, 1948 and to this union two daughters were born: Linda and Diane.  She married Merle Creekmur on June 7, 1959 and to this union three children were born: Leroy, Larry and Deborah.

Tillie worked as a waitress at Labahn's Café.  She ran the Friendly Circle in Gregory for several years.  She also worked at Doug's Café in Gregory.  She had resided in the Rosebud Apartments for the last eleven years.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, 2 husbands, three sisters, one brother and a nephew.

Tillie is survived by her children: Linda (Glen) Hannahs of Eatonville, WA; Diane (Don) Fiebelkorn of Gregory, SD; Leroy Creekmur and friend Jolene Kulhaby of Gregory, SD; Larry (Tracy) Creekmur of Jonesboro, GA; Deborah (Ross) Graesser of Winner, SD; her brother Clarence (Jeanne) Moerike of Ellensburg, WA; her brother Don (Marge) Moerike of Lucas, SD; her sister Lou Jean (James) Beranek of Hamill, SD; her brother-in-law Don Beranek of Hamill, SD; her brother Lyle (Shirley) Moerike of Gregory, SD; her sister Yvonne (Don) Umberger of Burke, SD and her sister-in-law, Linda Moerike of Burke, SD 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, SD.  Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke.  There will be a prayer service on Sunday at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
