Esther Lucille Neumiller was born August 3, 1927 at Bonesteel, South Dakota to Chris and Lydia (Kulm) Neumiller. She died February 26, 2011 at the Butte Healthcare Center Nursing Home in Butte, Nebraska at the age of 83 years.

Esther graduated from Naper High School in 1945. She worked in Lincoln, Nebraska and Omaha, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Lyle Fuhrer on January 26, 1948 in Spencer, Nebraska.

Esther and Lyle farmed in the Naper, Nebraska area their entire lives. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing for her family. Esther and Lyle retired from farming in 2000 and moved to Naper. They continued to reside there until the time of Esther's death.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Edna Nelson; her brother, Art Neumiller and a grandson, Josef Parker.

Esther is survived by her husband, Lyle of Naper, NE; her children: Wesley Fuhrer (Teri) of Lincoln, NE; Keith Fuhrer (Vicki) Newman Grove, NE; Deann Nielsen of Sioux Falls, SD; Dwight Fuhrer (Linda) Olathe, KS; Len Fuhrer of Phoenix, AZ; Lee Fuhrer of Lincoln, NE; Bonnie Whitley (Tim) of Naper, NE; and Clark Fuhrer of Naper, NE; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her brothers: Herman Neumiller (Betty) of Naper, NE; Lester Neumiller of Naper, NE; and Paul Neumiller (Shirley) of Bonesteel, SD; and one sister, Louise Zink, Naper, NE.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Naper, Nebraska. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery of Naper. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the church. Visitation will be one hour prior to both services at the church.
