Esther Clementine Delaney was born July 18, 1910 at Fairfax, South Dakota to Kris and Kathryn (Stroh) Bollingner and she died December 25, 2005 at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home in Wagner, South Dakota at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 7 days.

At an early age, Esther moved with her family to Java, South Dakota. She grew up in Java and attended school there through the eighth grade.

Esther was united in marriage to Mark Delaney at Fairfax, South Dakota on February 14, 1930. They lived on the family farm near Fairfax for several years until they retired and moved into Fairfax. They were members of Hope United Church of Christ in Fairfax.

Mark passed away on November 25, 1987 and Esther continued to live in her home until June 5, 2003. After she had fallen, she entered the Wagner Good Samaritan Center.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Esther is survived by her sons: Dennis and wife Maxine of Bonesteel, SD; and Ivan of Fairfax, SD; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 1:30 PM at United Church of Christ in Fairfax. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Fairfax. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
