Donald Allen Smith was born March 31, 1933 at Gregory, South Dakota to Eugene and Alice (Wood) Smith and he died September 29, 2011 at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 78 years.

Donald "Porky" lived his childhood and youth in the Mills, Nebraska area. He was united in marriage to Donna Weickum and to this union two children were born, Pam and Brad.

In his later years, Porky made his home in Naper, Nebraska. His favorite past time was hunting and fishing.

Porky was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Alice; and by his sister, Joan Rowan.

Porky is survived by his daughter, Pam (Smith) Muller of Naper, Nebraska; his son, Brad and wife Mary Smith of Yankton, South Dakota; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his sisters: Kay Fischer of Naper, Nebraska and Mary Moody of Ainsworth, Nebraska; his friend, Alice and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke. Burial will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Mills. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
