Denise Kay Noelle was born May 10. 1963 at the Winner Hospital in Winner, South Dakota to Jerold and Mary (Way) Noelle. She died February 6, 2015 at the Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska, as a result of cancer, at the age of 51 years.
Denise and her family moved to Burke, South Dakota in August of 1963, where her father worked for the Soil Conservation Service. Denise was baptized June 23, 1963 at Christ Lutheran Church in Winner, South Dakota. She was confirmed May 29, 1977 at Grace Lutheran Church in Burke, South Dakota. She graduated from Burke High School on May 18, 1981 and she graduated from Mitchell VO-TEC on May 27, 1983 with Superior Honors in Accounting. She worked for Martin's in Mitchell for several years.
Denise was preceded in death by her dad, Jerold; her brother, Kenny; her grandpa, Emil Noelle; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Caroline (Einspahr) Way and several aunts, uncles, a great-niece and many cousins.
Denise is survived by her mother, Mary Noelle of Burke, SD; her grandmother, Irene Noelle of Waterville, OH; two sisters: Donna (Stan) Cerny of Beech Island, SC; and Patty (Brad) Sperl of Dakota City, NE; two nephews: Dan (Courtney) Sperl of Plankinton, SD and Nathan Sperl of Omaha, NE; two nieces: Amy (Chris) Hawkins of Beech Island, SC and Jessica Cerny of Raleigh, NC; two great-nieces, one great-nephew, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, SD. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
