Charles Sangster, 87, of Burke, SD passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Burke Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, SD.

Charles Junior Sangster was born September 16, 1937, the son of Charlie and Bertha Camin Sangster.  He grew up in Burke, Bonesteel area, graduating from Bonesteel High School in 1955.

Upon graduation he joined the US Navy, serving from October 1955 to September 1959.  After his honorable discharge he went to work for Lozier Corporation in Omaha, Nebraska and U-Haul in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  After his retirement from U-Haul he moved to Burke, SD.  Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and was always willing to help family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his siter Linda.

He is survived by his daughter, Jodi Sangster, his cousin Robert Sangster of Herrick, South Dakota and cousin Elaine Sangster Mahanke.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery in Burke.
