Caroline Faith Andrews was called by God to her heavenly home to rest on October 5, 2017 at 6:55 pm at the Lake Andes Health Care Center.  She was surrounded by family and friends.

Caroline (Peewee) was born February 27, 1940 at home to Jesse Sr. and Mercy (Stone Arrow) Andrews.  She attended school at Milk's Camp Day School, Rosebud Boarding School and Bonesteel High School.  She worked at Milk's Camp Head Start at which time she attended training/school in Phoenix, Arizona for teacher's aide.

She spent her entire life in Milk's Camp and Bonesteel, raising her son, Wesley.  She was active  attending family gatherings, helping whoever asked or needed help.  She opened her home to many who needed help or a place to rest.  She had respect for everyone she met, family, friends and strange who became friends.  She lived alone until health issues from a stroke took a toll on her to live alone.  She was care for by her son and granddaughter, Lonna Mae, Tiffany Fernau, Pierre and Amy and sister Joyce.  She moved to the Haisch Haus retirement home in Bonesteel, where Lonna was employed.  Then, her last couple of years residing at the Lake Andes Health Care Center.

Caroline leaves to mourn her son, Wesley of Bonesteel, SD; grandchildren: Lonna of Sioux Falls, SD; Owen, Hayden and Caysen of Bonesteel, SD; her brother, Jesse Jr of Sioux Falls, SD; her sisters : Joyce of Bonesteel, SD; Rita Carlson and Winifred Andrews of Chamberlain, SD: her special friend Tiffany, who took care of her, always there when she needed help for appointments or neededto visit.  Many loved ones who will missseeing her at family gatherings.  She loved everyone she met.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse, Sr and Mercy Andrews; grandparents James and Millie Andrews; seven brothers: Hampton, Wilfred, Dana, Stanford, Ronald, Marvin and Conrad; three sisters: Josephine LaPointe, Margaret Williams and Donna Beare Andrews; her sister-in-law Helen Andres; grandson Noah Andrews; and a special niece Regina Lapointe.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the City Hall in Bonesteel, SD.  Burial will be in the Ponca Creek UCC Cemetery, rural St. Charles, SD.  Wake service will begin on Sunday at the Hall.
