Brent Leslie Neumiller of Naper, NE, departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was born in Burke, SD, on July 16, 1956, to Lester and Arlene Neumiller.

He attended the automotive program, at Mitchell Tech in Mitchell, SD and graduated in 1977. After graduating, he worked in automotive mechanics and other odd jobs until 1994, when he went to work at Thermo King. He retired in 2015.

In 2015, Brent moved back to Naper, NE, to farm, something he had spoken of doing for years. He spent the last years of his life doing exactly what he wanted to be doing where he wanted to be doing it.

Brent was a cowboy to the end. Like every sad cowboy song, there were some failed attempts at happiness. But from those attempts came his life's highlights. Megan Neumiller, Chris Neumiller and Jerry Neumiller. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and would share stories with anyone who listened.

Survivors include: Daughter, Megan (Justin Buhlke) Neumiller of Hastings, Two sons, Chris (Amanda) Neumiller of Naper, Nebraska, Jerry Neumiller of Naper Nebraska. Grandchildren, Madison Neumiller (Toby Crystle), Blake Buhlke, Kavan Scribner, Quentin Buhlke, Brooklyn Neumiller, Tannor Neumiller, Dakotah Neumiller, Addalynn Neumiller, Aiden Neumiller, Logan Jackson, Landon Jackson, Nevaeh Jackson, Carter Jackson, Braxton Neumiller, and great grand daughter Myla Crystle. Sister, Marcia (Mike) Hogan) of Hastings Ne. Nieces and nephews, Krystle (Josiah) Anderson of Lincoln Nebraska; Kelly (Tyler) Juilfs of Nebraska City, Dylan Anderson, Drake Anderson, Kinley Juilfs, Ky Juilfs. Many friends from near and far.

He was preceded in death by: His parents Arlene and Lester Neumiller.

Funeral services for Brent Neumiller, age 67, of Naper, Nebraska will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the United Church of Christ in Naper.  Burial will be in the Knollcrest Cemetery, Naper.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
