Barbara Jessie Sangster was born March 10, 1945 at Gregory, South Dakota to William and Goldie (Smith) Sangster and she died January 7, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 64 years.
Barbara grew up south of Gregory, South Dakota and also near St. Charles, South Dakota and Naper, Nebraska. She attended country schools near her home. Along with her sister Virginia, she helped her parents with the farming and ranching. In 1988 Barbara and Virginia retired and moved to Herrick, South Dakota. She enjoyed her pets, doing hand-work and gardening.
Barbara is survived by her cousins in South Dakota, Missouri as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, an infant sister and her sister, Virginia.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke. Burial will be in the Herrick Cemetery, Herrick, SD at a alter date. Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home.
